1. The minutes for the previous meeting on the 8th May 2002 were approved.

2. Treasurer's Report: With the absence of Chris Van Duuren the actual position regarding the re-application to reactivate the Association's bank account was not know. Okko Eskes would investigate the matter and report back to the committee at the next meeting.

3. Survey 2002: Feed back from residents was generally enthusiastic withy a higher than expected response rate. All completed surveys would be given to Chris Van Duuren who had at the last meeting agreed to collate them with Belinda Cooper. Elizabeth Owen and Maurey Lancaster also volunteered to help in this task.

4. Mid Summer Barbecue 20th July: Garry Turnbull has investigated the cost of hiring a barbecue (large gas BBQs available from £30 - £40 with delivery / pick up at £ 18). A3 posters would be displayed in the avenue. Leaflets would be distributed to residents as well as cinemas and bars in the Brixton, Clapham, Herne Hill and Dulwich area. It was agreed that the next meeting should be used to coordinate the Urban Art 2002 event.

6. Brixton Vice Squad: Following and email from Jackie Meldrum it has come to the committees notice that Lambeth police are planning on reducing their Vice Squad, who deal with prostitution in the area, from one sergeant and four constables to one sergeant and one constable. The committee feel this to be very unwise under the present circumstances and will write to Brian Moore (Commander) to urge him to re-consider.

7. Abandoned Vehicles: It has been noticed that London Quadrant are still failing in their promise to remove the two abandoned vehicles at 34 Josephine Avenue. Timothy Sutton will contact Wendy Hirst, the new area officer, regarding this matter.

Anti Street Prostitution Signs: Following the decision made at the committees last meeting to replace the missing JAG Anti Prostitution signs, it was reported by Okko Eskes that these replacement signs had been lost. However, he assured the committee that new signs would be erected by the time of the next meeting.
